Online High School Homeschool Programs

USCI High School curriculum is the perfect solution for parents looking for online high school homeschool programs. We understand that homeschooling offers a unique opportunity for the student to learn at their own speed, on their own time, while fulfilling the necessary requirements to receive their diploma. Our program is designed to meet these needs through a comprehensive curriculum that is 100% online and self-paced.

While students will follow the course instructions in our online high school homeschool program, through our learning management system (LMS), we encourage parents to engage with their students frequently. Students and parents will also receive support from our qualified instructors and student services team. While the program is self-paced, students are required to complete 0.5 credits every 30 days (1 class). Students who received credit via homeschool or a private unaccredited school should review the Homeschool or Private Unaccredited School documentation information found in the school catalog.

FAQs

Q. When can my student start the program?
A. Students can start the USCI Online high school homeschool program immediately after enrollment. Once you have enrolled your student into the program, we will email LMS access to start their first class.

Q. How much time does my student have to finish the program?
A. As mentioned above, students must finish at least 0.5 credits every 30 days or they have 12 months to finish the work for the grade year of study.

Q. What are the enrollment requirements?
A. The only enrollment requirements are that your student is at least 13 years old and have completed 8th grade. As long as the student meets these requirements, they will be accepted into the USCI online high school program.

Q. Should I Homeschool my High Schooler?
A. Homeschooling can be a great option for students who need flexibility or want to streamline their education. It can also be a good option for students that are struggling with their peers. If your student fits into one of these categories then homeschooling could be a great option for your student and family.

A. Yes! USCI’s Online Homeschool program is accredited by Distance Education Accrediting Commission. (DEAC)

Q. How does homeschool work?
A. USCI’s homeschool program is completed 100% online. Students can follow along with course instructions, through our learning management system. Parents are encouraged to be engaged with the students learning. Students are required to finish one class (0.5 credits) every 30 days.

A. Of course! Adults who are wanting to return to school and get their high school diploma can take our online high school program. In fact, our program is perfect for adults because students can take classes at any time, allowing them to finish the program without putting their life on pause.

Q. Is homeschooling harder than traditional school?
A. Homeschool comes with its own challenges that can make it harder than a traditional school. The student has to be more self-motivated, or parents have to hold the student more accountable for completing their course work. However, online homeschooling allows the student to dedicate extra time and attention to courses that they find more challenging, ensuring that they fully understand the subject before moving on.
